The "Last Mile" of Poverty Alleviation through working class -- Phase III Construction Electrician Training Class Held by the Volunteer Team of "Working Class" of Our Department for Hongdu Town, Xincheng County was Successfully Opened

Department of construction equipment and environmental engineering, Guangxi Polytechnic of Construction, August 23, 2020 [Report] (Figure and Text / Gong Jian) after careful preparation in many ways, our college sending "working class” activies to the countryside for construction special operation personnel i.e. "Construction electrician” was officially opened on August 23, 2020, in Liuna village committee, Hongdu Town, Xincheng County, Laibin city. The opening ceremony was mainly attended by Hou Wenshu, Secretary of the general Party branch of the department of construction equipment and environmental engineering of Guangxi Polytechnic of Construction, LAN Junshan, deputy director of Xincheng County Education and Sports Bureau, he Guojia, deputy director of the labor management office of Guangxi Construction Engineering Group Joint Construction Co., Ltd., as well as some teachers and volunteersof the department of construction equipment and environmental engineering of Guangxi Polytechnic of Construction, and nearly 30 poor villagers from 7 poor villages in Hongdu town attended the opening ceremony, which was presided over by Wu Guibin, the first Secretary of Liuna village.

Xincheng County, where we volunteered this time, is a key county in the national poverty alleviation work. By the end of 2019, there are still 5 poor villages and 2143 people in 877 households stuck in poverty. 2020 is the year of ending the fight against poverty. However, affected by the epidemic, some villagers are stranded in villages and unable to go out to work, increasing the risk of returning to poverty. Under the original one-stop skill training service mode of "training" + "obtaining certificates" + "employment", the "working class" volunteer service team innovated the types and forms of training, sent the cconstruction special operation personnel"construction electrician" training classes to the countryside for the first time, and combined with Guangxi Construction Engineering Group Joint Construction Co., Ltd. to integrate the corporate culture into the teaching process. Some of the 30 students who have passed the training will be recommended to Liuzhou project department of LianJian company to obtain employment nearby.

Over the past three years, the volunteer team of "working class" has carried out construction vocational skills training for villagers in poor villages in Hongdu Town, Xincheng County, such as electricians, plumbers, tower crane drivers and riggers, trained more than 180 person times, recommended employment of more than 90%, and achieved a good effect of increasing the annual income of villagers by nearly 30000 yuan after training. It has opened up the "last kilometer" for the local people to win the battle against poverty!
